Matthew G. Wilson
Matt Wilson is the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) of NewSquare Capital. In this role, he works with the firm’s legal counsel to ensure that NewSquare is in full compliance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements. He leads the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the firm, adapting these as required when laws and regulations change.
Upon graduating from college in 2000, Matt joined the CREATIVE Financial Group. He spent the first six years in investment operations roles before moving into various compliance roles. With the founding of NewSquare in 2009, Matt supported the firm with operational and compliance expertise and served as assistant to the CCO. Upon the CCO’s retirement in April of 2016, Matt was named CCO of NewSquare.
Matt has provided a much-needed level of stability, consistency, and transparency through a period of significant change and growth for the firm. Always level-headed, steadfast, calm, and thoughtful, Matt approaches the challenges of the sometimes turbulent investment industry with a disarming sense of humor and open, clear communications.
Matt graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance in 2000. Matt lives in West Chester, Pennsylvania with his wife, Megan, and their children Darren, Ella, and Travis.
