Miguel L. Biamon
Miguel joined NewSquare’s team in July 2018. With over 20 years of experience in all aspects of fixed income investing, he oversees fixed income portfolio management and trading. Miguel works directly with investors and their financial advisors to develop customized solutions designed to meet the client’s unique goals. His team is supplemented by industry-leading partners who provide fixed income market research. The team employs robust technologies to ensure best execution and always acts as a true fiduciary whose only goal is to do what is best for each client.
Miguel’s commitment to his clients is to be responsive, resourceful, helpful, and accessible. His friendly and easygoing style and genuine passion for helping others are greatly appreciated by the NewSquare team and clients alike. A communicator and educator with an open door, Miguel thrives on contributing to the collaborative culture at NewSquare.
Miguel started his financial industry career at Martindale & Andres, later acquired by M&T Bank, where he was trained and mentored by firm co-founder Bob Andres. After six years there, he served as as Director of Fixed Income Investments at the Bryn Mawr Trust Company for 13 years. He then served two years as Senior Investment Advisor and Fixed Income Trader at Blue Bell Private Wealth Management before joining NewSquare.
In portfolio management, Miguel has found a way to combine his love of numbers with his passion for helping clients meet their financial goals. Miguel’s first career after college was also to help clients reach their goals: serving as a country club golf professional, he found satisfaction in helping clients improve their game and enjoy the learning process. He helped clients define their long-term goals and developed plans to help them get there. The lessons learned there serve him very well as a fixed income portfolio manager. In investing, too, each client has unique goals and may need help staying focused on the long term to stick with well-designed plans.
Miguel earned a Bachelor of Science degree from East Stroudsburg University. He lives with his wife, Debbie, and their daughter, Margot, in Lower Gwynedd, Pennsylvania.
