Tom Leonard

Thomas A. Leonard joined the Philadelphia office of PwC, in 1970. After a successful 38-year career, Tom retired from the firm in 2008.

During the last decade of his tenure with PwC, Tom was the head of the Philadelphia office’s Financial Services Industry Practice. He oversaw all aspects of its operations and successfully grew the Practice to become one of the leading financial services practices in the firm’s U. S. organization. His responsibilities included overseeing recruiting, performance management, compensation, training, and mentoring for a team of over 200 associates. As an assurance partner, Tom serviced leading clients in the financial services industry.

From 1985-2008, Tom led the Investment Management Industry practice for the Southeast Region, which included servicing clients in the investment management industry from Florida to Philadelphia. He was responsible for the growth and operational leadership of the practice. Tom was also a member of PwC’s U.S. Investment Management Committee.

Tom has been an active member of NewSquare’s Advisory Board since 2013. In his retirement, Tom continues his active engagement on several additional boards:

2011 – Present: Copeland Capital Trust, Chair of Board and Audit Committee
2014 – Present: Lincoln Financial Variable Annuity Trust, Lead Independent Trustee
2012 – Present: LaSalle University, Member of Board of Trustees and Finance, Audit, and Investment Committee Chair
2010 – Present: FundVantage Trust, Board Consultant

Tom graduated with a degree in accounting from LaSalle University.

Tom enjoys playing golf and going to Eagles games. He and his wife, Jean, split their time between Florida and the Philadelphia area. They enjoy spending time with their daughter, two sons, and four granddaughters and are excited to soon be welcoming twin grandchildren to the family.
